Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.
Copy and paste from the following performance criteria to create an observation checklist for each task. When you have finished writing your assessment tool every one of these must have been addressed, preferably several times in a variety of contexts. Carry out equipment prestart and start-up checks in line with workplace procedures 
Identify faults or defects and rectify or report within scope of own responsibility and according to workplace procedures 
Drive and operate dragline using techniques suited to equipment capabilities, site and work conditions, and according to workplace procedures 
Operate controls to position, fill and dump burden/materials according to workplace procedures 
Monitor and manage equipment performance using indicators and alarms 
Monitor hazards and risks during operations, and ensure safety of self, other personnel, plant and equipment 
Park up, shut down, secure and carry out post operational inspection of equipment in line with workplace procedures 
Receive and confirm route and location plan and perform site inspection to confirm suitability 
Complete ground preparation in line with workplace procedures 
Locate and handle cables in a safe manner 
Coordinate use of support equipment and personnel 
Walk dragline in line with workplace procedures 
Clear work area and dispose of or recycle materials according to workplace procedures 
Management and/or report hazards to maintain a safe working environment 
Complete and file or distribute documentation in a manner that complies with safe work practices
